Tina Johns Heidrich has been Director of Music at the First Congregational Church of Bethel since 1990, where she directs the Sanctuary Choir and the Hand bell Choir. She is also the Founder and Director of the Connecticut Master Chorale, a 55 voice group of highly gifted, select singers who perform in the greater Danbury area.

Born and raised in Danbury, Ms. Heidrich earned her Masters Degree in Vocal Music Education from Western Connecticut State University. She has studied with renowned conductors including Joseph Flummerfelt, Gregg Smith, Alice Parker and John Rutter.

Ms. Heidrich serves as a certified vocal adjudicator for the Connecticut All State Chorus and is active as a vocal and instrumental composer and arranger. Her innovative eclectic programming and passionate style of conducting have earned her critical acclaim in Connecticut and beyond.

Marissa Mayes, Mike Fraser, and Nancy Northrop coordinate music for our evening worship service.  Their relaxed style and contemporary music help set the stage on Sunday evenings.

Julie Sorcek fills the sanctuary with beautiful flute music the evenings she plays.

Under the enthusiastic professional leadership of Tina Johns Heidrich, the Sanctuary Choir voices blend beautifully to perform traditional four-part choral music on Sunday mornings.
