FCCB Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, October 8th at 1 pm

Join us on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 1 pm on the lawn at FCCB for a "Blessing of the Animals" event.  All are welcome - please have your pets on a leash or in a carrier for their safety, and the safety of others!

FCCB Blood Drive

Children's Festival Saturday, August 12th

Fun for the whole family!  Join us Saturday, August 12th from 11 am to 2 pm.  Marvel at the balloon artist.  Get crafty.  Enjoy the yummy food.  Listen to amazing storytelling.  Brighten yours and everyone's day with a stop at the face painting station.  Test your skills with a variety of games.  Both of the local volunteer fire departments and the Bethel police department have been invited again this year.  For more information call 203-743-1877.  Don't miss it!

Outdoor Worship on

August 13th

This summer we will worship outside on the Lawn at First Church Bethel on August 13th at 10 am.  You are welcome to bring a comfortable chair or use ours.  Wear your comfortable clothes and immerse yourself in creation as we celebrate the unconditional Love of God.

All Church Picnic Sunday, June 11th

You are invited to the all Church PIcnic at FCCB.  During worship at 10 am we will welcome New Members and say Thank You to our amazing life changing Sunday School Leaders as we conclude Sunday School program for the School Year.  Join us for fun on the Church Lawn!

Blue Christmas Service, December 20, 2023 at 7 PM

A special service to live into the complexity of the Christmas Season.  Sometimes things are Merry and Bright, and sometimes they aren't.  This service helps us live in that tension.  Everyone is welcome.  Join us on the 20th at 7 PM.

Christmas Eve Service

Join us for a Family Christmas Eve family service on Sunday, December 24th at 4 pm.  Everyone is welcome.

 

We will also worship at 10 AM on the 24th.  Join us for the 4th Sunday in Advent as we light the 4th Advent Candle, the Candle of Love.

Ashes to Go!

All are invited to receive Ashes to Go outside Molten Java on Wednesday, February 14th from 7 to 9 am.

 

Start your Ash Wednesday with a blessing, ashes, and preparing your heart for the season of Lent.  We'll be outside to offer you ashes, or a blessing.

Cleaning God's House

Church World Service Hygiene Kits

We are putting our faith in action.  On March 10th, we will assemble our Church World Service Hygiene Kits.  CWS distributes the kits around the world to communities in need.  You can be a part of making the transition after disaster more bearable.  You can drop off your hygiene kit items at church on Sunday or during the week.  Everyone is welcome to help assemble the kits.  It will be an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and food on Sunday, March 10th after worship.  Click for more information to get donation details.

Drive-by Palm Distribution

Join us for an afternoon of fellowship & fun as we pass out Palms to passersby near First Congregational Church of Bethel.  We will pass out Palms from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024.  Youth especially are invited to join in the fun.  After all the palms are passed out, youth will have more fun activities.

Palm Sunday Service

Join us for a Service of Palms on Sunday, March 24th at 10 am.  Take the full journey through Holy Week beginning with Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

Palm Sunday Potluck

Don't miss the Palm Sunday Potluck Brunch on Sunday, March 24th.  We will wave palms and celebrate Jesus entering Jerusalem during Worship.  Then gather in the Main Hall for food and fellowship.  Sign up for the potluck.  Find out the details on "More Info".

Maundy Thursday Service

You are invited to an evening service of Holy Communion and Tenebrae on Thursday, March 28th.  We begin the service at 7 pm.  All are welcome to receive Communion, no matter your tradition.  We will leave the service in darkness and quiet.

Good Friday Cross Walk & Lunch

On Good Friday, March 29th, you are invited to journey through the heart of Bethel as we walk our faith and take part in the ancient practice of the Stations of the Cross.  .   Beginning at 12 noon at 213 Greenwood Avenue (Molten Java) and finishing at First Congregational Church of Bethel, with a light lunch to follow.

Easter Sunday

Sunrise Service

Rise early to celebrate Easter and meet our Risen Savior in the rising sun!  Join us at 6:30 am, Sunday, March 31st at Putnam Park Pond.  All are welcome!

Easter Service

Join us to celebrate the unconditional Love of God, as we celebrate Christ's resurrection through word, song and Holy Communion at 10 am Easter morning on Sunday, March 31st.

 

All are welcome to receive Communion, no matter your tradition.

Vacation Bible School

Bring your kids out for the start of Vacation Bible School!  We will have a ton of fun this summer playing games, doing arts and crafts, and most importantly learning about Jesus!
