FCCB Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, October 8th at 1 pm
Join us on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 1 pm on the lawn at FCCB for a "Blessing of the Animals" event. All are welcome - please have your pets on a leash or in a carrier for their safety, and the safety of others!

Children's Festival Saturday, August 12th
Fun for the whole family! Join us Saturday, August 12th from 11 am to 2 pm. Marvel at the balloon artist. Get crafty. Enjoy the yummy food. Listen to amazing storytelling. Brighten yours and everyone's day with a stop at the face painting station. Test your skills with a variety of games. Outdoor Worship on
August 13th
This summer we will worship outside on the Lawn at First Church Bethel on August 13th at 10 am. You are welcome to bring a comfortable chair or use ours. Wear your comfortable clothes and immerse yourself in creation as we celebrate the unconditional Love of God.
All Church Picnic Sunday, June 11th
You are invited to the all Church PIcnic at FCCB. During worship at 10 am we will welcome New Members and say Thank You to our amazing life changing Sunday School Leaders as we conclude Sunday School program for the School Year. Join us for fun on the Church Lawn!

Earth Day
Join FCCB and the town of Bethel, in cooperation with Bethel Parks & Rec, Bethel Land Trust, Sustainable Bethel & the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, brings the Annual Earth Day celebration back to the Municipal Center lawn! Easter Service
Join us to celebrate the unconditional Love of God, as we celebrate Christ's resurrection through word, song and Holy Communion at 10 am Easter morning on Sunday, April 9th.

Good Friday
Cross Walk
On Good Friday, April 7th, you are invited to journey through the heart of Bethel as we walk our faith and take part in the ancient practice of the Stations of the Cross. . Beginning at 12 noon at 227 Greenwood Avenue and finishing at First Congregational Church of Bethel, with a light lunch to follow.
Maundy Thursday Service
You are invited to an evening service of Holy Communion and Tenebrae on Thursday, April 6th. We begin the service at 7 pm. All are welcome to receive Communion, no matter your tradition. We will leave the service in darkness and quiet.
Curbside Palm Distribution
Join us for an afternoon of fellowship as we pass out Palms to passersby near First Congregational Church of Bethel. We will pass out Palms from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Youth are invited to meet at noon for lunch and fun, as the fun continues with distributing Palms.
Lenten Book Study
Join us on Wednesdays (3/8, 3/15, 3/22 and 3/29) on Zoom during Lent, from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, as we read "How to Begin When Your World Is Ending" by the Rev. Molly Phinney Baskette. More information on the Book Study page.

Service of Installation
You are formally invited to the Service of Installation for the Rev. Ryan Gackenheimer as Pastor and Teacher at First Congregational Church of Bethel, UCC. This special service is for everyone; church community, community folks; ecumenical partners, Association churches, and more. Join us Sunday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow the service.
Ashes to Go!
Along with St. Thomas Episcopal Church, we will be offering Ashes to Go on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd from 7 to 9 am in front of Molten Java, 213 Greenwood Avenue in downtown Bethel. If you are so moved, please stop by to receive your ashes.
